Organised, supported and held under the auspices of the City Council of Sevilla at the Facultad de Comunicación de la Universidad de Sevilla, this annual event provides a platform for independent filmmakers, students, and freelancers from all over the world to showcase their exceptional short films and documentaries.


Welcoming works within a concise timeframe (maximum duration of 40 minutes), #ComCorto fosters diverse cinematic expressions, innovation, and artistic exploration — connecting emerging talent with industry professionals and a discerning audience.

Guidelines for submitting your audiovisual project

Participant Eligibility

  • Open to short films and documentaries by independent filmmakers, students and freelancers worldwide.
  • Works must have been produced after January 2023.
  • Must not have been previously selected or screened in any prior edition of #ComCorto.
  • No limit on the number of submissions per director, provided all requirements are met.
  • Non-Spanish dialogue must include Spanish or English subtitles.

Technical Conditions

  • Maximum duration: 40 minutes.
  • Digital format: .mp4 (MPEG-4) or .mov.
  • Codec & resolution: H.264 at 1920×1080p.
  • Audio: AAC 48.000 Hz stereo or uncompressed audio.
  • Works failing public-screening standards may be rejected.
